These two lovebirds flew all the way in from Sweden to elope Vegas style, with Elvis and all! We met up just shortly after they tied the knot for a little Trash the Dress* /Just Married session. Mina donned a dress that she had made as an exact replica of what her grandmother wore on her wedding day. She found her lovely bird cage veil at Unveiled Bridal Designs, which was absolutely stunning! We had a great time walking up and down the Vegas strip, finding lots of great locations!
Henric and Mina worked together, but not actually together, just sort of at the same place, and Henric knew from the moment he first saw Mina that she had to be his. He arranged for a buddy of his to throw a party, in which he invited a bunch of guests, including Henric and Mina. At the party, Henric moved forward with pursuing Mina, and the rest is history.
After a couple years of dating, marriage was definitely talked about, but neither were the type to have a big white wedding, so Vegas seemed like the perfect location. They didn’t tell anyone of their intentions, but were welcomed warmly by their friends and loved ones after their nuptials! I even did a quick rush edit to get a few pics online on Facebook for them so they could break the news to all of their FB friends.
Way to go, Henric and Mina – had a blast with you both!
*No dresses were harmed during the photographing of this session. The Term Trash The Dress was coined by John Michael Cooper of AltF Photography. He inspired many photographers with his alternative style and knack for dress trashing. Although many photographers offer TTD sessions, it’s often used synonymously with Bridal Session and little to no harm is done to the dress.
